Although the setting is semi formal but relaxed, the greeting and the service are essentially by the family. I went through a friend whose father was a youth mate of the historical owner, so my greeting was biased in a way. The food speaks for itself: Pasta Santa Monica a slightly spicy tomato based sauce rich with herbs and sautéed with Parmesan (can't be any simpler, but makes you want to literally scrape the plate...
