"That was the first meal we ate in Pontianak the first time. The taxi driver who brought us from the airport to the hotel recommended this place. At first I thought we were supposed to choose mie with crab meat or with shrimp, but then the seller told me that both crab meat and shrimp would be on the Mie. The taste is somewhat different than similar to Mie in Jawa. The soup impressed me. It differs from the soup that accompanies mie that I usually eat, I guess it is made from chicken broth."

"The Istana gives a mixed impression: a large majestic building, but it does not impress. Probably because the environment is not well maintained. Was too early and istana still closed, but had a walk around the veranda. Images paint a thousand words. Anyway, a must to visit when in Pontianak. And preferably during opening hours."
