The food was beautiful. However the bar was very very busy. Had to queue once to get menu as not on table or available to pick up on way in) and then queue again to order food. There were at least 6 to 8 people in front each time ordering cocktails and most of the time only 1 person mixing them with someone else occasionally helping if not collecting dirty glasses and taking glasses out of dish washer. The owner chris is simply amazing. I had arrived in pontyclun with the train from london and was too late to meet in the wales football association. I went to thirsty elephant coffee to use the Wi-Fi and hopefully get a lift to my destination. despite a full house of customers, Christ approaches me and asks if everything is in order. I told him my dilemma, because it didn't seem to be near Uber vehicles. without hesitation, he informs his personal that he will be back in 15 minutes and tells me: "Let her go, I will give them a lift to the wales fa. "a real cat, especially with lunch in his shop. says a lot about him as an entrepreneur and human.
Lovely cafe with friendly staff. Only bug bear no complimentary biscuit with my coffee.

Nothing less than amazing. Good food, great prices and the cocktails at night are divine.
