evening with ken forrester. really excellent experience with the wonderful ken from South Africa and his weingut in Stellenbosch. What Heather Pansegrouw doesn't like about Zim Braai:
Such a disappointment. We ordered peanut curry and pap. It was something like £15. Waited about 45 minutes for the food to arrive. Less than a cup of curry and the pap hadn't been mixed properly so it was full of raw corn flour and inedible. Didn't even offer us a refund. Won't be back. A very good restaurant with a relaxing atmosphere, very friendly personal and expansive menu. I really enjoyed my family the meal! the Moroccan lamb was very good, the Zimbabwe chicken was delicious and the straußsteak was great! we come back again when he will be back in the city!
Exceptional eating and service! an absolute cracker of an ortes. the food was impeccable and the service was first class. we tried to keep us eating zimbabwes to get a real feeling for it, and we were impressed. my partner is simbabwe who has led me through the options and we ordered loose; we didn't leave, it was really fantastic. I have to confess, I expected more of an open kitchen. one where you could see the braai and the food cook. I would also like to have more authentic music together with some zimbabwean employees. but the small things and they did not affect the things too much. what the dinge influenced was the less than cordial greeting when we came in, we were both a little shocked. but that was soon forgotten when we sat and came into the spirit of the place. we were very well treated, but our waitress, so helpful, friendly, friendly and politely perfect service. the menu is available online to have a look and I would definitely recommend a visit. book them early as it is a popular place, but a real one has to try.
Excellent meal as usual, ordered the mixed grill for me and share my wife and there was more than enough eating. highly recommended
