This is one of my favorite Mexican restaurants in Virginia because their food is authentic and not Tex-Mex as most of the local Mexican restaurants. You have a good lunch buffet that offers a variety of choices, for a reasonable price and the staff is great! I was shocked about my most recent dining experience at El Rancho. This was the worst service and food that me and my family experienced. The waiter had come over to take our order and in the middle he suddenly leaves. He comes back to our table with no apology. Just a very good place to eat when you have that urge for Mexican food...steak meat is really good...not full of fat and gristle like so many other places.
My waiter was not checking on us and took didn't give us our guacamole cup and we asked 2 times
