There's a distinct lack of Sushi places down at the old historic Port Adelaide, but in reality there isn't a lot of other things either.

"I first reviewed this gem in 2014. So I thought an update was worthwhile. I must say its not often you get to write two reviews 5 years apart but my interest in this place has not waned. Well it's still all about the coffee and it is still the best in town. And the love and passion for the beverage comes out in everything they do. Since the extension a couple of years ago there have been some steady changes for the better. In my last review I said the food was almost non existent. Bit by bit that is no longer the case. The food offering is still basic but delicious but now there is enough of it that I can happily come for breakfast or lunch and enjoy it. The other difference is that with a bit more space I now often come mid morning and get my laptop out and get a bit of work done in a really nice environment with a great coffee. In the end its still all about the coffee and its still great over the entire 5 years since my first review."

"The smell of brewing coffee and breakfast drew us in. Mid morning and we were ravenous. We dared not walk past for fear of missing out on what could be. Popped in and scoured the menu. Ordered coffees and breakfast. A toasted bacon cheese and avocado sandwich and for my better half a hotdog with sauerkraut. Service was amazing. Super friendly waiter and service was swift. GREAT coffee. Hotdog delicious. Tick. Tick. Tick.<br/ <br/ Here’s the But!<br/ Toastie was SOO disappointing! For the price (it was dear), it was like one I could make at home. Hardly any bacon and tasteless. It was served with a few stale tasting potato chips! Disappointed, confused and deeply unsatisfying. <br/ Will go back for the coffee and great service. Hold the sangers."
