What User doesn't like about The Mexican Gourmet:
Very small restaurant -only seats about 15 people. My husband had the wet tacos and they were indeed WET. The portion was fairly small so did not fill him up. He said he would rather have had my artisan burrito and after tasting his dish I would agree. However I was not impressed with my meal either. I chose braised beef (as per the description on the menu) and was expecting shredded meat but instead got ground beef... View all feedback. What User likes about The Mexican Gourmet:
Went to this restaurant for dinner with the family we had the enchiladas and the quesadillas. The entrees with good healthy sides beans and rice. Overall I was happy with experience. Had a decent amount of people coming in and ordering takeout. The enchiladas that I ordered was the spicy version with mole a sauce and I can taste the Coco in the sauce, which I liked and I would revisit this place again. View all feedback.

read moreThe Mexican Gourmet in Port Coquitlam offers a cozy atmosphere and authentic Mexican cuisine. While some diners found the food underwhelming and lacking in flavor, others were pleasantly surprised by the delicious dishes and fresh ingredients. Portion sizes may be small, but patrons found the food to be satisfying. Some highlighted the lack of gluten-free options on the menu, while others praised the friendly staff and quick service. Overall, the restaurant seems to have a mixed reception, with some recommending specific dishes while others may be hesitant to return. Despite some shortcomings, the Mexican Gourmet appears to be a hidden gem worth trying for Mexican food enthusiasts in the area.
The fish tacos were absolutely delicious and tasted authentic. My Latina friend also loved her enchiladas. I can't wait to try more dishes.
