I had the cured salmon and it was the best dish i have had for a while.Followed up with octopus and clams spaghetti. Commented to my friend that al dente was hard to describe but easy to recognise. Outstanding dish.Felt like thanking the chef. Strongly recommend this authentic italian restaurant which delivers flavours not pizazz. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Osteria Padella:
First, choose a table far away from way to many people walking to close to your table. That's probably inside. Secondly, the menu is a bit different than we expected, not bad but not for a second visit. On the other hand, the home made bread as a starter with the delicious olive oil is very tasty. The staff we experienced was very difficult to understand, not really good in English. Not very friendly, nice people but... View all feedback.
We had a fabulous meal here. The food was excellent as was the service. I can definitely recommend the whole barramundi with tomatoes, it was delicious!

First visited this restaurant 2 years ago and they had recently opened and thought the food and service was fantastic- this is no longer the case. Menu was boring, wine list unimpressive and overpriced. Overall an expensive experience with poor service and uncomfortable seating. I had recommended Padella to friends and family so many times and was looking forward to visiting again and let down. Try Sassi instead for a good value experience.
We chose this restaurant as it was not quite as busy as some its other neighbours. It proved to be a rather mixed experience. The food was excellent, and definitely reminiscent of meals we have had in Italy. However, although the service from the wait staff was friendly and attentive it was let down by other things. It was explained that as they prepared everything fresh, it would take some time for the meals to be ready. That was fine, and quite acceptable. However the vinting of the wine and the roasting of the coffee beans obviously took time as well, as the delays from the bar in serving both of these at different stages of the meal was excessive and not really good enough for the type of restaurant.Great food, let down by another part of the operation.
