"Wow! I was completely blown away by the beautiful in-house scratch food with elegant tastes and delicate plating. I can honestly say that I have dined all over Ontario and this is really close to the best hidden gem in Ontario. The Berkshire offers a comfortable ambiance with food that absolutely knocked my socks off. The braised pork shoulder with a delicate apple cabbage slaw, and spetzle on the side was soooo yummy. The pork shoulder was melt in your mouth, and I couldn't get enough ... until ... I heard that homemade sticky toffee pudding with home churned vanilla ice cream, were on the menu. So yes, I indulged! And, it was gorgeous caramel delish! Oh wait, let me not forget about the Caesar Salad, with its bold punch of gaaaaarlic! I loved it. Thanks to Natalie, who offered excellent suggestions and was a perfect host for my first time dining in Port Elgin. The bar is set very high! Thank you The Berkshire ... cheers, Spicy Jan."
