So many towns small to large in Canada had a Queen's Hotel. Port Elgin on Lake Huron is no exception. The owner Pierre has sparked new life into this small town Main Street Gem. No longer a hotel, the bar and restaurant remains with invigorated decor and an interesting menu. The lunch specials are delicious, creative and very reasonably priced. We have a cottage in Saugeen Beach and we have been frequenting the Queens Hotel for decades. We live in Toronto and spend most of our summer weekends in Port Elgin. We drove up to Port Elgin to start our August long weekend - we ordered the Steak Fajita and a Chicken Sandwich wrap - both were barely passable .
