What User likes about Kate's Downtown:
We are from Asheville, which is a foodie town for sure. Kate's is totally comparable to some of the fine dining in Asheville. Everything is incredibly fresh, beautifully presented, tasty. Just an amazing little cafe that prides itself on great attention to detail. Kate is friendly and watching over the business making sure everything is perfect. I stopped in here for the first time for lunch. I had the turkey provolone sandwich and a cup of Hungarian mushroom soup. The soup was earthy, I suppose, but mostly I found it underseasoned and somewhat unpleasant. I would have expected the flavor of paprika or some sort of spice, but I didn't detect it.
