Nice beach with some good shades. Good spot for snorkeling. There are plenty of fishes to observe. It's not too great for swimming as there are plenty of corals. If you want to swim then you should swim in the swimming areas in front of the hotels View all feedback.
What Paresh D doesn't like about Balaclava Public Beach:
Ok beach. Was staying at Ravenala Hotel and decided to go for a walk. 15 minutes. The water itself was clear and appeared cleaned. There were quite a few snorkellers there. The beach itself had a lot of rubbish flying around. View all feedback.
So beautiful place...The Oberoi Hotel is nearby...very calm and relaxing...

Nice quiet beach, great for a long walk. Sand quite course in places and rocky. You can swim but might need swim shoes although Snorkeling was great.
Sea beach does a good job here. Mauritius tourism authority fails miserably with trash collection. Sums up the island really.
