"Great food terrible service, like beyond terrible. Came in recently for a celebration with a relatively large party, service was beyond terrible (slow) culminating with a full drink (alcoholic) being spilled on a friend. "This place has a lot of local atmosphere when you go. A place where you're in neighbors. It has a vintage mother kitchen vibe right down to the family photos on the wall. The food on the table... The fried cucumbers and onion rings were the superstars on my plate. I enjoyed my chicken roasted steak sandwich, but there was no spices. There was also a Chili cheeseburger. It floated in chili and it looked like a little patty surrounded by bread and chili. I wouldn't order it again. Nothing bad in the place. The service is friendly and the atmosphere is warm. The food wasn't bad, but I don't have to have it again."

"I just want to thank the owners for adding a hard Seltzer to their listing. I can feel that it is not your brewery favorite to brew or sell. But my husband, my son, and I live on the street and sometimes we get a little crazy. We can't get far from home because our son is a baby. We also love the atmosphere of Back Pew. When someone who has never been a big fan of beer, it was really nice to join the fun today. I hope you're holding it for a while! Thank you."

"Listen, if we could give 100 stars we would! We are new to Houston and only have 2 more months to be here. I am VERY picky when it comes to Italian food (because it’s my favorite and I can honestly say, I NOW have something to cry about when we leave. The food here is nothing short of excellence. Every aspect of our experience was stellar. I have never in my life had basil pesto that tasted so fresh. Their bread was the best Italian bread we’ve ever had. My husband kept asking me “ok what about the pasta, is it better than (so and so’s place? or what about the gelato, or the appetizers? I told him that this was the 1st and only place I’ve ever been to where ALL parts of the meal were well past my expectations. Very well passed. We found out their gelato is made from a native Italian (you can tell because the fruits and flavors are all fresh and burst of flavor in your mouth and we also found out they grow a lot of their food right next to their restaurant! The staff was outstanding and went above and beyond to make our experience the best it could be. We got to meet the owner which was an honor in of itself, but then learned he was the chef who cooked our meal! Even the smell…EVEN THE SMELL of the restaurant smelled like a true authentic Italian restaurant. We discovered they take extra measures to make sure it smells that way. This family owned restaurant is one for the books and stole our hearts. We left smiling and raving about our experience the whole 25 minute drive. You can’t go wrong eating here! We are so blessed to have found this gem and look forward to going back before we move!"

"Awesome Lunch! Arrived at noon on Wednesday, 12/8/21. The lunch menu offered M-F from 11-3 contains 4 choices. I opted for the chicken tenders basket with fresh cut fries. $7.50. This is not the arches or the king. If you want your food in a minute or two, you should go somewhere else. Food here is prepped and cooked TO ORDER! It is amazing. The fries are cut and cooked at the restaurant. Served slightly salted. The tenders are not tenderloins. Instead, they are slices of chicken breast. Each weighs about 3-4 ounces! Two chicken breast strips in my Tender Basket were too hot to eat upon arrival to my table. I chose honey mustard as my dipping sauce. Because the tenders are so large, the TWO tenders that come with the lunch basket was plenty of food. There is a help wanted sign in the store's window. One employee was running the dining room. Taking orders, delivering orders and bussing tables. A man (Uncle Tony? and one other employee were preparing the meals in the kitchen. The restaurant was more than half full at lunch with most customers appearing to be local office staff. The process takes a few minutes after ordering. Again, everything is made to order here. The tenders were cooked golden brown with a delicious coating. The fries had just the right amount of salt when they arrived from the kitchen. Wonderful place, staff and delicious food!"

"The peach cobbler was amazing , We got an Oxtail plate and the fish platter it was sooo good. the oxtails were cooked perfectly falling off the bone and just the right amount of spice. fish was super tender and breaded perfectly. Definitely will be back !"
