wherewww, what a nice restaurant! I sat at the end of the afternoon on the dach with the sun in my face around end oktober. had a really nice local made advertiser! what was delicious, then the vegan kebab, made with local tofu and smoked in banana leaves I thought was soou cool! then for the desert I could not choose so that she made a small plate for me, so I could taste all three of them. every vegetarian of vegan... What User doesn't like about Hortela:
The restaurant doesn’t allow pets so we had to sit outside and the outside seating area in front of the restaurant is not that big. The food was a bit tasteless despite the nice presentation of the dishes. It was a bit expensive for the quality of the food. Although everything the staff was nice and helpful. View all feedback.
Great food, beautifully decorated with lots of attention for details, friendly service, 100% recommend
Hortelã is a little gem of a place for healthy delicious food. The roof terrace is beautiful, and really atmospheric. We had delicious organic gins to start followed by a medley of dishes from the padrano peppers with mustard and vegan caprese salad and tofu/seitan dishes for mains. The staff are lovely and service was great. You can feel the love that goes into all the details of this establishment.
Very nice place in a building with a relaxed terrace at the top floor. Staff super friendly and helpful. Totally with a visit when in Portimao!

This is the best organic and vegetarian/vegan place in the world and i visited at least 40-50 in my life. Its incredible delicious, the owners are lovable. My honest opinion is that everything is great about this place: it has art, great food and beautiful people. I wish there would be more places like this.
