"Great location, excellent food and relaxed atmosphere (restaurant was mostly empty . Our waiter was friendly and tentative. However the whole experience was let down massively by the other staff members. Given we were a group of 17 ordering a considerable amount of food and drinks (i.e. spending a lot! a rude staff member came over and said if the children want to check the pool water temperature they will charge us. Not a problem as we had intended to use the pool and stay the whole day but the rude staff made us feel unwelcome so we moved to the beach area instead. It turns out the staff there were equally rude and unwelcoming. With staff attitude like that it was no surprise the bar and restaurant was mostly empty."

"We've traveled a bit around Europe and this is definitely one of the top three restaurants we've been to! The location was a bit hard to find. I put it on google maps and it took us straight to the spot but we didn't see any sign. Please don't give up and look down a walkway, next to the set of stairs, see the sign! We had amazing starters, I had the Mönchskewers, my daughter had the pork both were just amazing! My husband had the best lambskin ever with an amazing mint sauce! The waiter and chef, Sergio, was soooo nice! He suggested a wine to accompany my meal which was the best I've had in Portugal! My husband took him to the bar and they chose a scotch for his drink. Then we had the mango cream brussels and the chocolate mouse. Sooo good! We were sad that it was our last night in Lagos as we would have gone back for dinner! Definitely don't skip this restaurant!"
