I had the pork vindaloo. Very good flavor and the meat was tender and delicious. The price was a little higher than I would have expected, but I would come back to try one of the wraps I saw on other peoples' tables. They looked and smelled amazing. Service was friendly and was helpful with menu questions since it was our first time visiting. We were lucky enough to find parking around the corner and came at 4:30 pm... View all feedback.
I just moved to Portland about 6 months ago and have been trying to find a good Indian food place ever since. We stumbled upon this last night and I was incredibly impressed. I loved the ambiance of their outdoor area, the staff were very sweet, and we got the few vegetarian options they offered- Vada Pav (first time having this anywhere and I will be back VERY soon for more. Oh my gosh those flavors are perfect). Kathi Roll with Panner was amazing as well- made for an awesome late night snack later since I could not finish it! We also did the Paneer Makhani Thali Plate and everything was very flavorful, rich, and balanced. We will certainly be back soon. (typing this as I devour my leftovers and wishing I had more.. I do wish they had a few more vegetarian or vegan options- their prices were a bit high for the Thali plates as well, but I am willing to pay the money for excellent food and a fun atmosphere.
I had the gay vindaloo. very good taste and the meat was tender and delicious. the price was somewhat higher than I expected, but I would come back to try one of the wraps I saw on the tables of other people, they saw and smelled amazing. service was friendly and helpful in menu questions as it visited our first time. we were happy enough to find a parking space around the corner and arrived at 16:30 clock, so there was no waiting for sitting or ordering. we sat on the terrace that was open, airy and welcoming. a very pleasant dining experience.
We had a mango lasso, makhani, and chicken curry. DH also had a tap beer. The beverages were above average, but the main courses were lackluster, and seemingly not authentic in spice level, as compared to other Indian restaurants I've been to.
We always stop by here when we go to Portland. The food is not the best Indian food out there but it preserves the authentic flavors and has always been great quality. We got the Thali with chicken curry and the chicken Tikka bowl this time. It's a little expensive for the quantity but you pay for the ambience and quality as well. Nothing to complain on the Thali although it could have come with some pickle to complete the experience. In the past we have had the chicken kathi roll and that has never disappointed. Note: none of the food here is spicy.Always a repeat. Will go back again when in Portland.
Second time ever having Indian food so delicious. The colors on my plate and the presentation were beautiful! The All India Permit was an amazing drink!
