I ordered the Vegan Breakfast, which includes seasoned tofu, crisp papas, and toast served with butter and jam. I added the house-made pear-sage vegan sausage, but did not really like it, especially for an extra $5. Otherwise, the meal was tasty and filling. My partner enjoyed the Nopales Scramble, which includes fresh cactus, roasted mushroom, caramelized onion and garlic scrambled with seasoned tofu. View all feedback.
What Leelee Bee doesn't like about Carlo:
Our dinner was SUPER disappointing for both my friend and I. Chips and guacamole comes with a TINY portion of guacamole (I nearly laughed it was so small) and a heaping plate of chips. The burger was undercooked and the juices drenched the bottom bun so it disintegrated. Just bland and overpriced in my opinion. Excellent service and cute vibes, but food needs a lot of help. Not incredible, and really a 4.7 star place, but everything was as expected or better and will be returning.

The food was so good I go here often with my daughter. Occasionally, there is a wait here, but it is worth it.I had the shift meal it was gorgeous, and I will be back.They have quite unique food and drink on the menu.
Way better than I expected. I thought this was a dive bar for four years but it turns out to be a great Mexican restaurant with an empty bar. People watching on Foster St is never a bore.
