The best Indian restaurant in downtown Portland. Have enough vegetarian options with authentic Indian taste. Very welcoming staff. Food prepared to order, not the same curry for every dish (like many places). We also ordered masala tea and they specially prepared that only for our order. All and all a best place to have authentic Indian food. View all feedback.
What j bucky doesn't like about Choice Of India:
This restaurant has its ups and downs. I ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala, which you wouldn't expect to be bad, right? My partner got the Tandoori Chicken, which was delicious - flavorful, a good size, and cooked on the bone. Unfortunately, I was disappointed with the Chicken Masala; too much tomato, not enough chicken, and the sauce wasn't creamy. I wasn't impressed, and at one point I even thought about ordering a... Don't expect a chic setup. Expect great food and attentive service. My partner says this is the best Indian food in Portland and I agree!
ANNEX First, when they asked if we had reservations, and we said yes. You said they didn't open table???? At some point, they said they would sit us without reservation?? Hardly anyone in the restaurant. I think they have it someday. 2. You never told us that the menu prices were basically 50% more. There is a hand note Scribble letter saying menu prices are higher.... just honest to customers. We challenged the price when the waiter made cash and the owner watched him on the camera and called him immediately. He ripped the small handwritten note from a window/front counter I guess and showed us. If the owner has to observe the intestines and then have the intestines to show proudly clear prices. I'm sorry, but how pathetic you can get. 3. Food was extremely dirty. We felt bad for the waiter and he seemed nice, was overwhelmed. How can Open Table support a restaurant like this? I'm sorry while Covid, because times are unusual for everyone, but it's not right... Just fraud. Would never go back. I don't like writing reviews, but this is just the worst experience in an extremely long time.
There are many options for Indian food in the Portland region. Make sure the choice of India is one of them! The food was perfectly seasoned (after specifying when the order was to make it spicy). My true note regarding each particular restaurant is whether I would come back a second time. I can definitely say I'm back!
I write honest, fair reviews. We enjoyed the food very much (I only ate the perfectly seasoned Auberginen remains for lunch! and the noise level and the decor were pleasant. The service was slow, but I owe this to open recently, or maybe reduced staff on a Friday night. We will return!
Here. I had chicken tikka masala, you can't do that properly and my partner had tandoori chicken. the tandoori was very good, on the bone, tasteful, good size, great dish. the chicken masala to my disappointment was not so great, aromen too much tomato, too little actually huh, not creamy on the sauce. not impressed. at the points I wanted almost one grilled cheese with it! it was like that. the nann was good, they need to pay a few dollars extra (other places they don't as it is included) I'm here now twice. There are certainly ligen over opentandoor restaurants, but still missed the swagart nw benchmarks on chick tikka ya must improve British national court if they want to survive.
