Our waiter, Jen B, was amazingly patient with us and guided us through their menu. We loved everything we got. Brussel sprouts, carrots, short rib, prime rib, steelhead on risotto, and handmade pasta. The prime rib was classic, but every other dish was exceptionally experimental/unique in the best ways. Every bite was a flavor journey. All our drinks were exceptional as well. View all feedback.
What JosephG doesn't like about Clarklewis Restaurant:
Was recommended this place by a colleague and unfortunately I might’ve came on a bad night perhaps. The charcuterie board was inedible, some of the meat was ground up and had the texture of wet cat food… crab cakes are expensive at $24.00 and you get two mini crab cakes in the middle of a huge plate. And as for the pasta with lamb, for homemade pasta it didn’t have the qualities of homemade pasta and the sauce was a... View all feedback.
Bold aromen and the best boiled soft a fluffy healed that I had ever lived in my life. industrial upscale look, no masks everywhere. the local menu changes almost daily. the only problem we would know about is that they add to any bill with less than 6 people to 16% service fee and 20% fee for groups of 6 or more. the reception then reads that this service fee is not a bliss, so they would appreciate gratitude about it. unfortunately it has taken away from the overall experience.
Absolutely amazing and attentive coworkers (quite, water, som.) starter is almost always necessary when the portion size of all net, but the artistry and taste is top notch, as well as visible through the open kitchen! we have celebrated several celebrations and milestones here, because it is one of the true foodie and experiences in the city that actually delivers everything. had the 'step right' wee who is from the owner and it is very smooth. to the next time!
The service, cocktails, eating and wine list was simply fantastic. that was my second time at clarklewis and it was not disappointed. I started with oysters 1 doz and we had to have more. then the ointment was a meal in him. it was even better when the rabbit arrived. I can't wait to visit portland again to eat here.

Wow I mean wow! What a great meal. My drink was so well-balanced and dangerous I could drink them all night LOL. I got their Caesar salad which was so garlicky and delicious I do feel for my taste it was overdressed but again so delicious. I ordered the steak which was cooked perfectly the seasoning and butter was balanced. The potatoes that came with it were unbalanced cooked some were soft and some were at the cusp of underdone But again it all tastes good. The chanterelles were also delightful. My brother got the salmon which again he ate the whole thing and agreed did it was all wonderful tasting. My father got three starters the oysters the Caesar salad and the tartar. He was over-the-moon happy with his choices. We will be back to try more!
