I love the bye and bye. it is a beautiful place to hang because it is largely free (but covered; it is rainy portland). I have brought various extra-city visitors (also in-town) and all had a good time, even the very ones. once we went to a friend's birthday and someone brought a cashew cheesecake. we have checked with the staff to make sure that it was in order to eat it on the terrace after we had dinner and they a... Perhaps we chose the wrong dishes, but I didn't find this place to be impressive. I ordered the spaghetti, which is usually a safe bet, but it turned out to be quite disappointing. The garlic bread, one of my favorite treats, also fell flat and lacked flavor. I hesitate to make a judgment based solely on one dish, but I would recommend skipping the spaghetti. I had the peanut ginger shell and my man had the Obie shell. Pretzel nodes were a big starter choice, both a little sharp, but not too much.
This place was great! Well priced, delicious, big portions, tasty beer. The bye and bye burger could have been better paired with fries than the kettle chips they serve, but it was still incredible and one of my favourite veg burgers I’ve ever had! The edamame was also delicious and an unexpectedly large portion
I’ve only tried the peanut broccoli bowl so far. It was a big helping of food, enough for 2 meals. I like how they use nutritional yeast on the tofu and the peanut sauce is very tasty. Look forward to trying something else next time.
Before we arrived and checked the menu, we were not sure why this place was rated so high. Most options looked pretty standard, but they just do it so well. Had the Buffalo Soja Lock and the Miso scarf and they were delicious. Many drinks options, indoor and outdoor seats, and only good moods all around.
Lots of great options! The meatball sub was good (but messy) the website said veggie balls but the menu in the restaurant said impossible always a little disappointing when they use name brands instead of in house recipes but that 's just my preference. I was here for the sauce that came with the pretzel! The drinks were great and not overly priced. Great place for a date but also chill enough to just hangout on your laptop!
