What a great little gem! It was worth the wait for their vegan breakfast plates. We just put our name down and walked elsewhere to get our cup of joe, then by the time we got back we were seated. We got the French toast plate and the vegan spuds. YUM! The tofu scramble was one of the best I've had so far! Crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside. used to love this fat spoon. even though they serve meat/egg/dairy, they had some delicious vegan options. although their website says they are open, I went with a friend today and they were closed. no sign of life. the phone was also separated. so, even after the purchase of new owners during covid, it looks like this classic portland place has now closed.
