What User likes about The Brass Compass:
We liked the look of this place and walked in without a booking on a Friday night. We arrived just before 6 when it is open for meals, but the bar was open so we had a drink at the bar. The barman, Alan, was happy to chat (he was a local & happy to share knowledge) and it was 6.45 by the time we sat down. We both ordered Salmon which came with chips & salad. Food was OK. What User doesn't like about The Brass Compass:
Average service, food isn't that great. Hot chocolate was at least okay. You have to go to he counter and order yourself (so if you're expecting a waitress to come to you, don't) The rating is a lie, they don't even have bloody apple juice. Screwed up several meals on the table. Overall score = terrible View all feedback.
