Staff were very helpful and talked us through the menu. Great meat/cheese platter and tried the Francesinhas (bit like a toasted club sandwich covered in a tomato/beer sauce! Very good wine recommended by the waiter...as he said 'there is no bad wine in Portugal ' : Ask them about the history of the building....there used to be a prison below ground. The staff are not openly friendly which is surprising for Portugal. They probably deal with mostly tourists and do not make you feel welcome or cared for. They were out of several things that we wanted to order. Finally settled on some calamari that I saw him poor out of a freezer bag into a fryer served with french fries, and a cheeseboard and some olives. Prices were fair-high for the location. "Extremely expensive for what you get and definitely does not earn a 4.8/5 score. Very nice atmosphere and friendly staff, but the food quality was pure. We chose seafood where all the options you have is fried food. We are offered a couvert without asking what you actually pay for. The best in our meal was the wine we chose without recommendations from them. In any case, you will find much better places to go. You need to change your menu to taste these prices and a 4.8/5."
