I have been to this place for a Sunday lunch in September. The place is a traditional restaurant just outside the center of Porto. Specialized in grilled meat and fish. Beyond the long wait once seated (about 25 minutes) it was a shame to see a very large plate, 70 percent filled with baked potatoes and cabbage. The meat of the goat, on the other hand, was scarce and above all the parts of the little goat that had ar... View all feedback.
Absolutely the best octopus I’ve ever eaten!!! Super kind waitresses, delicious food and really big portions. I definitely recommend!
I arrived at the restaurant at 19:00. A young woman said, Upstairs. That would be the only English word spoken. I ordered half order of their roast beef . It was HUGE, and I had to confirm with the waiter that it was indeed a half order. The cut was likely what we call a rump steak in the States. It was well seasoned and perfectly grilled for medium rare. Juicy and tender. I could only finish one piece, and a couple sharing my table kindly took my offer for the other piece. €15 for the beef, €5 for half bottle of wine. €20 bill, no tax, no tip.
Arriving in town Sunday afternoon and trying to find an open restaurant near our AirBNB, we found this place on Google maps and it was a very good find! They were doing a very brisk business of local families and groups enjoying a Sunday dinnr out. We took the recommendation of the waitress for barbecued goat, which came with potatoes, salad, bread and wine. The meat waspiping hot, tender and well seasoned. The waitstaff were cheerful and helpful, and service was quick. The prices were at least midrange (29 euros for two), but the food was plentiful for the price. Highly recommend.
Huge portions (but one can order 1/2 portion, which is as big as a normal portion somewhere else) of tasty food, good wine and good prices. It took some time to have the food on the table but this is understandable, as the restaurant was very crowded. Definitely, a place to recommend in Porto.
