Was very pleasantly surprised after seeing mediocre google reviews!! Definitely our best meal in Portugal thus far. Attended as a party of 5 and we all thoroughly enjoyed our meals. The sea soup was one of the best seafood bisques I have ever had. Also really enjoyed the cod! Would recommend trying, as it is hidden in a small road, with great and quiet ambiance. What Janet C doesn't like about Forno Velho:
Staff excellent lovely and polite. Food awful. Bland and cold. No oils salt pepper nothing. Sent coffee back so cold couldn't be bothered sending soup back for them to warm just ate it. Mot offered bread basket. Very poor View all feedback.

"Extremely expensive for what you get and definitely does not earn a 4.8/5 score. Very nice atmosphere and friendly staff, but the food quality was pure. We chose seafood where all the options you have is fried food. We are offered a couvert without asking what you actually pay for. The best in our meal was the wine we chose without recommendations from them. In any case, you will find much better places to go. You need to change your menu to taste these prices and a 4.8/5."
