"RIP OFF FOR TOURISTS This restaurant has traditionally had perfection on the grill as its hallmark. However, after 2.5 hours of waiting, we were served completely inferior (overpriced) meat: full of tendons, cut terribly, either completely cooked through or raw. Even after a complaint we weren 't offered any compensation for the inferior main course (for 5 people, at 70 euros/kg). Ironically, when we ordered the restaurant 's chef told us that his extremely high quality meat should only be eaten medium raw, to which we agreed. Bringing completely overcooked pieces of meat then borders on irony. As the owner of the restaurant, I would never have had this meat served like this. abdominal pain the next day. Waiting time was unbearable: while other tables were already being served dessert, we were still waiting for our main course. With these high prices and after a big speech about the quality of the meat, the Bona Taula was more than disappointing. It was packed, and was a total rip off for tourists. We were not offered any compensation or deductions from the price for the disastrous dinner, not even offered a coffee. Ambience is nice but way too crowded, hot, uncomfortable seats and wobbling chairs and tables. I will definitely not be dining here again after many years. "We first came to this bar when we were holidaying with our kids about 15 years ago. Now returning as a couple mainly. Friendly and reasonably priced. Steve who runs the bar is amazing and have no idea how he does it mainly on his own. We will always return for the odd night when in the area."
