"Absolutely the BEST Indian food in the NH Seacoast and Southern Maine areas. The Singh family is dedicated to their loyal customers above and beyond just a restaurant experience. Their customers are family; they truly care about each and every person they serve. I have learned so much about Northern Indian cuisine from my wonderful friends at Shalimar. Every entree, side dish, ingredient, and all the amazing spices are explained so that you are eager to try new culinary treasures, and develop your very own favorites. Plan on spending time when you dine at Shalimar; it is a wonderfully relaxing experience with delicious lunch and dinner choices. Shalimar also has amazing desserts! "I ordered the Chinese Szechuan hot plate, which is a combination of large shrimps, scallops, beef with vegetables over a lit sauce. At $17.50 we got hot tea. It was good overall! Although the scallops do not have much taste or quality. Odd, because we are so close to the sea, and we are a main ingredient! As such their lack of taste made the dish disappointing. Service was excellent. I'd come back, but I appreciate this meal at a 4."
