"Absolutely the BEST Indian food in the NH Seacoast and Southern Maine areas. The Singh family is dedicated to their loyal customers above and beyond just a restaurant experience. Their customers are family; they truly care about each and every person they serve. I have learned so much about Northern Indian cuisine from my wonderful friends at Shalimar. Every entree, side dish, ingredient, and all the amazing spices are explained so that you are eager to try new culinary treasures, and develop your very own favorites. Plan on spending time when you dine at Shalimar; it is a wonderfully relaxing experience with delicious lunch and dinner choices. Shalimar also has amazing desserts! I hope you will love Shalimar as much as I do!"

"We returned from salmon fishing in Canada and stayed in Portsmouth for the night. Rudi’s found on OT. Downtown Portsmouth was carved with tourists on Saturday night, so Rudis parking was a welcome view. We arrived well before our reservation, and the staff was very accommodating. They found us a good table. Very pleasant room with an excellent pianist who provides live music. The tables were full. The waitress was attentive. The paprikasalate with local peasants was good, but the lobster Risotto was a great disappointment, gooey and tasteless. The Haddock of my friend was crisp, but also generally lacking taste. We skipped Dessert. Maybe we have them in a bad night."

"Fun surroundings, excellent breakfast price and they are open from season. Loved all unique works of art, coffee bags black/white pictures. Ordnete the green monster Omelette it was spicy, delicious and healthy. In addition, I was thrilled to find them open in November! (in low season, not many places are open along the Hampton Beach area). Very happy to find the Coffee Break Cafe!! Plan it to my morning-changout after my Thursday sunrise sessions! Walter J TLMA"
