We visited on a Sunday and after a reasonable wait for an outdoor table, I can confidently say this place is fantastic! The wings, oysters, Thai mussels, mushrooms, and burgers were all excellent. The atmosphere was lovely, and the egg dish was a delightful surprise for the kids. The service started off a bit slow, but they really stepped it up by the end. Overall, I’d give it a 10/10 and highly recommend sitting out... View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Lock 72 Kitchen By Robert Wiedmaier:
I had an awful experience during Sunday evening service. A few of us waited 20 minutes at the bar just to get a drink, but the bar was empty. The staff seemed more focused on chatting among themselves in a corner rather than serving customers. The kitchen staff was preoccupied with their phones. The food was mediocre at best. This place completely surprised me after the change of ownership in a good way. The dry aged burger, is a must try. A great selection of draft beer, drink well with the buffalo wings. Thank you Gigi! All hours are happy indeed!
An elegant interior (there are outdoor tables as well , good food (though I 'm a little tired of the BS of hand-crafted cocktails at $15 and up . Our server Carlos was remarkable, cheerfully and attentively handling most? all? of the dining room on this short-handed night, with help with food-running from the bartender and suit-wearing owner or manager. Potomac-priced (sometimes more money than brains? and competitive with other Potomac Village restaurants, but with so many choices within 5 or so miles, we have no compelling reason to rush back.
Heading home from a show in DC, this restaurant was open late. I had a lovely crab cake appetizer and goat cheese and beet salad. My husband had a burger. All the food was excellent. We will come back, for sure
The flavors were muted, with little to no salt added to any dish, ranging from the fries, the pasta and the fish. Additionally the swordfish in the Swordfish sandwich was overcooked, making the texture more crumbly than the distinct slices a properly cooked fish should have. The bread however is excellent, and was probably the best part of the experience.
Excellent food and service. Servers are friendly and helpful. Wine per glass is a little on the expensive side. Beet salad is very good, as is the tempura calamari.
