What User doesn't like about Isla Bonita:
to dinner. the atmosphere is fantastic, so they will think that eating is wrong. it took 45 minutes to serve and the food was extra salty and the meat we dried and looked like kitchen scrap. he hoped for the best and got really bad service and bad eating. also the prices are higher than most? My wife and I stopped for lunch at this lovely little Mexican restaurant. Even though I work in the building, I had never eaten here before. We have been in Washington for 4 years and this is the best Mexican food we have found in our area. We both grew up in Southern California and lived in Arizona for 15 years, so we know good Mexican food! Thank you so much to Fernando and the staff, you were all fantastic. We will definitely be back soon.
I had high hopes for this restaurant, but unfortunately, it did not meet our expectations. My family has dined here four times in the last three months, and each time has been disappointing. The food is not fresh and poorly executed, and the service is forgetful and inattentive. I would suggest looking elsewhere for now until they can improve their quality.
I ordered a carne asada burrito with sour cream inside and 4 street tacos with a side of pico de gallo, which ended up costing $46. The burrito was $19, each taco was $4, the sour cream was $3.75, and the pico de gallo was $3.75. The waitress seemed confused and kept going back and forth to the kitchen. She made me wait for half an hour to pay, even though she had told me it would only be 5 minutes. When I finally paid, I was shocked by the high price. The waitress tried to compensate by calling me "amiga," but I was not impressed. I don't plan on returning to this restaurant. It seems like they overspent on decorations and are now making up for it by charging exorbitant prices.
