"Veleiros is the new Portuguese restaurant. I strongly recommend it: the food is amazing traditional Portuguese flavours at its best , the team is very professional, yet friendly, attentive and polite, ready to cater to whatever you might need. The owner, Marcos, is such a lovely person! Makes you feel welcome and he’ll answer any question and guide you through the menu. The restaurant itself is a nice place, the view is stunning AND there’s plenty of parking space across the street. Can’t find any reason not to visit Veleiros! PS. I’ve tasted the clams and the prawns, as starters. Both cooking sauces are irresistible, and require at least 1 small loafer ; then, the mains: octopus and the duck risotto. Yummy, yummy. For desert, I had “abade de priscos” pudding. Which I simply love. Like most traditional Portuguese deserts, it’s egg yolks and sugar. Forget cholesterol and sugar, and enjoy; the Chef delivers one of the best I’ve ever eaten!"
