Grosvenor Chippery - Powys

The other chippy near to Tesco gets mad busy, so go to this one for faster service as it is on the edge of town and far less hectic.

Passing through town and spotted this chippy, looked clean and inviting, with benches outside. Parked the bikes directly outside and placed our orders with the very friendly staff. They were happy to put fresh stuff in the fryer even though it was ten minutes to closing time! The food was top quality and well priced. I would happily recommend and return again.

We saw this fish chip shop as we drove out of town and it looked very clean, I checked online and the reviews looked good so I drove the 7 miles back from our campsite and ordered 2 haddock and chips I can only describe the meals as wonderful. The owner and his wife were very friendly and professional and couldn't be more helpful and the haddock was freshly cooked. They are open every day except Sunday we will return this Monday evening

I went to this restaurant yesterday evening after a stroll around the lake. We ordered a serving of fish and chips with mushy peas, which was enough for two people because the portion was large! The fish was delicious and there were plenty of big chunks of meat with a soft batter. The chips were big and flavorful, and the mushy peas were great! Definitely worth a visit.

This fish and chip restaurant was the first one we tried after moving to the area about 6 weeks ago. We have decided not to try other places because the service and food from these two guys is excellent. Coming from an area known for its award-winning fish and chip establishments, our expectations were high. We are slowly trying different items on the menu and enjoying everything we find, but the generous portion size and light, crispy batter on the fish will always be our favorite.
