"This was our first time we visited the brecon and visited the city. we went past this pizza place and saw the reviews “best pizza I ever had” and many other reviews followed the same news! so we had to try and we were not disappointed. it was the most beautiful, crispy and well made pizza me and my partner had ever experienced as much as I finished my whole plate in under 10mins and already know that we will order again before we go back to england!"

"Absolutely fabulous food, probably some of the best I have ever eaten. The Jerk rib is so tender! The King prawn curry is served in a scooped out pineapple and looks amazing. The bar serves a great selection of beers and wine. Definitely a place to return to."

"Very nice ambience, tastefully decorated and excellent, polite and well turned out staff. We had afternoon tea which was faultless, a great selection and plenty of fare. If you want to experience afternoon tea as it should be I wouldn't hesitate to visit this bistro restaurant. One thing I did appreciate is that fact that they allow well behaved dogs, they even provide bowls of water for them. Not cheap but worth the experience."

"I booked Sunday Lunch for 2 people at Llangoed Hall on the hotel website, and received the following confirmation by email: We are delighted to confirm your reservation for Lunch at Llangoed Hall. Your booking details are below: Ref: BRDXVQZR Guest Name: Marilyn Thomas Date: Sunday, 18 February 2024 Time: 2:00 PM Guests: 2 We arrived at 1.55pm and informed the receptionist that we had a booking for Sunday lunch at 2pm. She informed us that we were booked in for afternoon tea and that Sunday lunch finishes at 1.30pm. I showed the receptionist my email from the hotel confirming my booking for Sunday lunch at 2pm, and was informed that there must have been a glitch on the website, and that only afternoon tea was available at 2pm as the kitchen closes at 1.30pm. We then left to look for an alternative venue for Sunday lunch. We also re-checked Llangoed Hall 's website and again found that it was possible to reserve a table for lunch at 2pm on Sundays, despite the fact that we had just been informed that only afternoon tea is at that time. Fortunately, we were able to find an alternative venue that could accommodate us for Sunday lunch at short notice. However, if we had made a reservation for our wider family as we often do, then we may well have been unable to find an alternative at such short notice. Additionally, it was very inconvenient to have our time wasted through no fault of our own. We will not be re-booking Llangoed Hall."

"Been many times over the years, this time had to wait to be seated in the cafe which is a bad idea as we bypassed the displays of cakes and cold drinks. We only wanted cake and drinks so had to go back to the counter to choose our cakes and grab a cold drink and order and wait for a hot drink. We sat for a while waiting for non existent table service, the waitress showing us to a table didn’t say order at the counter! You assume there is table service if you are shown to a seat and not told to order and pay at the counter first. The salt seller was sticky, though a good job was done cleaning the tables. Laminated menus is a very good idea, maybe with a yellow background for the visually impaired can read better. Butty Bach beer in the cooler was not very cool but drinkable. However cakes were gorgeous my Cappaccino cake had a good strong coffee flavour I loved it. Hubby’s large Mocha was nice and he liked his “very chocolately” chocolate Haystack cake, which was similar to a soft and moist flapjack. Toilets were exceptionally clean as usual and the paintings for sale in the corridor to the toilets were a delight to view. Very nice atmosphere in the cafe but far too cold with the air conditioning on full blast."
