"These guys literally saved me from starvation! I had a blow out on the A5 in the middle of nowhere and the aa had abandoned me for over 12 hours. These heroes not only delivered food and drink but the best kebab that I have ever had they also included a free litre of water that saved me from certain dehydration in the middle of night when the aa decided to not show up. I cannot recommend these guys any more!! Hero’s "

"If you fancy a cozy cuppa with very friendly people serving and absolutely delicious cakes, then this is the place for you! They do really lovely lunches too. I had a really good roast here once and have had cakes and also a great Welsh rarebit. Amazing Lemon Meringue cake!!"

"Right from the moment of getting in touch with The Kings Head to organise a baby shower event it was pleasant from the offset. The Afternoon Tea was very good with various savoury and sweet options and excellent value for money. Staff were very helpful and always making sure we were all happy and the tea and coffee pots were being topped up regularly. We had a great afternoon, thank you"

"I think the experience in my own house could be a little better than the take-away experience. the meat, regardless of what they choose, is always overcooked, dry and chewing, but the sauces are beautiful and authentic. the broth nuts are dry, peasant and tasteless, the vegetable beside dishes are never very good. in comparison to restaurants in shrewsbury I would give it one, but in oswestry they are probably the best that is regrettable."

"I’m a bit bemused by the positive reviews for this place. There are only two vegan mains on the menu both are quite predictably bean-based (quinoa/bean burger fajitas). You can get bean tacos or cauliflower fritters to start. Maybe I’ve been spoilt in other restaurants but I found the lack of options disappointing and pretty unimaginative. Food was alright but I wouldn’t go back."
