"This was in times past a little gem in Ayr a perfect place for that romantic night where you could have a beautiful night but sadly our latest experience told a very different story, A table of four sitting right next to us shouted, screamed and used very foul language all night. When they left several tables were glad to see the back of them. I mentioned to the manager that I was disappointed they didn't have a word asking them to keep it down. The manager said they didn't hear anything which I don't believe as they place really isn't that big. It ruined out night and we regret going which should not be how you should feel when going out. Its really disappointing and we would think twice about going back if this is the type of customers they want to attract"

"Wildings restaurant is excellent food for excellent money. The staff are very attentive. It's a family run business that has catered for the local area and beyond for years. Lovely decor in a very small sea side town in south Ayrshire Scotland. Must be one of the best."

"I have lunch in small talk frequently and I’m used to it being busy . Today was no exception . However the attitude of the waitering staff has definitely gone down hill . Firstly when asked to stand out side we stood on the apparently) wrong side and my partner and I were ordered like cattle to stand on the other side . We dutifully stood for 10 mins waiting for a table . Soon the window table became available and my partner asked if we could sit here . At this point a part of 3 or 4 had arrived and my partner was rudely told ‘no you can wait for a table that sits 2 to become available’ The larger party were then taken before us and we were left to stand outside . Now I know small talk and I know just how small the ‘small’ 2 seater tables are . My partner is a large guy larger people are more comfortable at larger tables ! Anyway at this point we felt rather annoyed and choose to leave . I do understand that establishments want to maximise their profits and have maximum numbers per tables however if his doesn’t give them cart blanche to be rude and totally revoke a request for a table . It’s a shame that they are employing staff with these attitudes as the food is always first class ."

"We was on a stop over after a Scottish holiday and we found this place. what a gem. my wife had fish chips and peas and I had steak pie chips and gravy. absolutely amazing. Great service with a smile and well priced."

"Visited when at Ayr on a weeks holiday. Been before and really enjoyed it. Not this time I ordered roast beef salad which was lovely along with banana and tofee tart which the girl said she would put aside as there was only 2 left....She forgot to do it, which was a mistake anyone could make but when I said I didn't want anything else she just said oh well and the smile on her face said suit your self. We noticed on there website they done breakfast from 9 till 11. 45 am. We went back thinking it would be okay. We arrived at 11.05 am where they told us they had not updated the website and they now finished breakfast at 11am so because it was 5 minutes late we could not have it. Food lovely but sadly won't go back because of staff attitude."
