"I can safely say, without fear of contradiction, that this was the single best hot chocolate i have ever tasted. My 70% Sao Tome dark chocolate was delicious but the 34% milk chocolate drink was rich and sweet and tasted of butter and hazelnuts made my mouth sing and my head swim with joy. What a lucky discovery. I will have no choice but to drive back to Rye soon to have another cup!"

"We had the weekly 3 course set menu and it was an absolutely mind blowing dining experience. I have been telling all my foodie friends and then some. "Went for valentine's night and had valentine's menu.. Service was slow(very French). Food when it arrived was superb. Others had candle on table which my partner noted we did not. Had to ask for water twice. Overall I would say the waiting staff were not professional trained but were trying their best to please. Will definatly go back for the super curry's we shared."

"It is a couple of years since we visited this pretty pub.We met up here with friends today for a long overdue catchup. A beautiful hot sunny day and we sat in the pretty gardens in the welcome shade of the many trees. The service was polite and slick, our food an absolute delight. The food was hot and beautifully presented and delicious . We shall return again soon."
