Gobsmacking interior with great food and wide drink selection. Ok - It has a unique and awesome atmosphere with curios in the damn architecture.
Straight up explanation of three stars - lack of good service I have never been to the Bombay bicycle club and went on a Friday night with family.

"I first reviewed this gem in 2014. So I thought an update was worthwhile. I must say its not often you get to write two reviews 5 years apart but my interest in this place has not waned. Well it's still all about the coffee and it is still the best in town. And the love and passion for the beverage comes out in everything they do. Since the extension a couple of years ago there have been some steady changes for the better. In my last review I said the food was almost non existent. Bit by bit that is no longer the case. The food offering is still basic but delicious but now there is enough of it that I can happily come for breakfast or lunch and enjoy it. The other difference is that with a bit more space I now often come mid morning and get my laptop out and get a bit of work done in a really nice environment with a great coffee. In the end its still all about the coffee and its still great over the entire 5 years since my first review."

"The head waiter or manager was very warm and welcoming, and the decor was beautifully done to evoke nostalgia of a South East Asian nation at the turn of the 20th century.However if you are after an Asian hawker lunch, then the food badly disappoints. Totally not authentic.The outdoor toilet/dunny is also disgraceful."

"Great service and delicious pies and desserts.. Coffee was made perfectly not to cold not too hot perfect to just drink. Sauce is amazing I would like a bottle of that! Good range of cakes picked one up for wife's birthday."
