"On my recent trip to Manitoulin on my motorcycle we made it to Mindemoya just on time to catch the restaurant before they close. There were three tables seated and we were allowed to seat ourselves. Being considerate that they were closing soon we put in our orders right away. My friend had the pork schnitzel and I ordered the half chicken. They have no liquor licence so I opted for a coke in the glass bottle. When my chicken comes the fries and veggies are generous portions. I didn't like the gravy on the fries and the veggies were a bland mushy mix, the typical frozen type. The chicken was over done and the skin was a deep reddish brown, it had no breeding or seasoning. I tried a few fries and didn't like a herb in the gravy. It wasn't bad gravy, but not the kind I would pair with fries. I ate the chicken wing first. It didn't impress but after a long day of riding it was going to suffice. As I remove the leg from the half chicken I feel something cold and slimy on the underside of the thigh. It is still FROZEN.I made the wait staff aware and they took it away. I could hear them in the kitchen as the confirmed it was indeed frozen. I asked them for the schnitzel as it looked good and there were zero other options for food and after riding in the sun from 6 am to 7:30 PM in Mindemoya and my chicken wing and two fries wouldn't tie me over til morning. After the incident the wait staff seemed to avoid our table. I flagged a waitress down and asked for a coffee since I had to wait for another meal to be cooked and I'd finished my coke. She said "sure" and I had to ask again 20 minutes later to finally get it. No cook, chef or manager came to apologize about potentially making me very sick by serving me uncooked chicken. They made no offers to make things better. When I got the bill they charged me full price for both meals, drinks and my coffee I had to ask twice for. Honestly one of the worst restaurant experiences of my life. That is my experience at Mindemoya Grill and chill, I would never go back and advise you don't go."
