"We went to De La Fonte on June, with my wife for a romantic dinner; it was a busy night so the service had some hiccups. Chief of staff stated that they were still getting used to some latest changes and there was a Brazilian holiday that got the place to full capacity.The place is very nice, few tables in an spacious set, very modern and nicely decorated.We focus on the local products like Surubi for fish, and Argy meat, so we had the smoked Surubi and the Chorizo entrance and then shared the Steak for main, the pear for dessert.It was certainly a fun experience, and loved the visual aspects of the dishes: on the high side the smoke Surubi with the nice concept of encapsulating a fog and opening in front of you, on the low side was the Chorizo that felt just too plain. On the taste side everything was okay, though we did not felt surprised or astonished in a outstanding dish that was our expectation somehow. Chorizo was just too plan again, Smoked Surubi had a nice touch on the smoke but that was it.Meat for main was good quality, cooked to its perfect point, garnishes were just okay again. The modern fork and knife were very uncomfortable to use for this cut; we could not get a good knife as service was to busy. The dessert looked really nice as well, but we didn't feel the Azafran was there and the pear was too 'immature' so it was 'crunchy' to the bite but did not develop the deep fruit flavors.The dinner included a couple of amuse-bouche that were nice.All in all, it was a nice dinner experience, it was fun, nice visual surprises, though we left a little bit feeling that we expected more specially on flavors. I would certainly return to try other things, again with the expectation on outstanding flavors consistent with the rest."
