My wife and I wanted to get away from the pulse of the Malecon and found the restaurant at this older hotel. We did not meet any other Americans in the hotel or restaurant but were treated very nicely. We had a few beers and...some appetizers on the patio/deck area overlooking the ocean and it was very nice. Yes, the hotel and restaurant needs some work, but it's an authentic, non-tourist place.
