We had reservations for 7:30 p.m., which is when we arrived. Once inside no one to welcome us, after more than 15 minutes of waiting we decided to leave. The large range of coffee and tea specialties greatly enhances the value of a visit to Villa Smeralda, The sugar-sweet desserts of the local also shine not only in the eyes of our little guests. "Eight of us had Sunday lunch here and we couldn’t have been treated better, from the Kir violette aperitifs to the prune ‘lollipops’ with coffee. The lady of the house was so welcoming and attentive, explaining every dish as she served them. Her husband the chef is a genius of invention.. every dish was a feast for the eyes as well as the palate. It was an experience like no other in the Lot and I urge you to go and find out for yourself. You will not be disappointed. It’s fabulous."
