On the flight to Costa Rica, other man sitting beside us recommended El Pelicano. We waited until we came last night. Big mistake. I wish we had gone earlier this week when we were back more often. The fish was fresh and delicious. Finished grilled, steamed or fried. I had the grilled shrimps and the shrimps were huge. It was right in the water and a perfect place for sunset. What User doesn't like about El Pelicano:
We stopped here for a few beers recently. The restaurant was not very busy and it was very warm. The staff was nice enough to offer some fans and they were overall very pleasant. After looking at the menu we decided that it wasn’t to our taste- all seafood, price was more than we were used to paying. Restaurant was very empty. We decided to just have a few drinks and eat somewhere else close by. View all feedback.
Recommend E Pelicano. Very fresh food. Excellent service. Chris was our server and was fantastic. We went two nights in a row. It's definitely a CR vibe. Drinking was great! Regular beverage prices are very affordable, but be careful when you update liqueur as it can be expensive.
We had a great dinner experience last weekend that we decided to return to El Pelicano for a second dinner before we left Los Suenos. Overall a great experience, although it poured on our first visit. Cocktails and appetizers are amazing. An award-winning Ceviche we had twice. Meals are full of taste and we were not disappointed. The restaurant has the potential to be five stars, but requires additional improvement in terms of service. We were promised a bread basket during our first visit and had to remind the waiting staff. The bread finally appeared until the end while we ate our Entrées. Our second visit was on a Tuesday night, so the service was also something under the expectation. The coconut yarn and the keviche, however, let us forget all the imperfections of this restaurant. Beautiful and lively ambience with views of the beach. It is a must to visit when in Costa Rica.

Cooked our fresh fish for us which was delicious. We definitely liked this better than their standard menu. Great location
