...... then people will not expect it to be a proper pub. The village has an alternative pub for a proper pub experience, and it 's food is good too. The Chequers will never be a good pub cos there 's no one who 's really a beer lover on the management side. No one ever complains about the naff beer selection in restaurants, its accepted you 're there for the food. So, lower the expectation re beers just sell a few btls. Easy. As Dirty Harry once said....... A good man knows his limitations..... What User likes about The Chequers Inn:
