"In his 8th year of operation, owner and host Eric holds to a fresh ingredient, pure food philosophy that separates his restaurant from many others in Vieux Lyon. With a relatively small menu, this cosy cave-like establishment serves excellent and wholesome meals and the attention to service is the best we encountered in Lyon. I ordered the Burger au foie gras which was among the best burgers I have ever eaten. The magret de canard and sirloin being served at the next table looked equally generous and delicious. My partner ordered salads lyonnaise which was again wholesome, substantial and thoroughly satisfying. An excellent bottle of beaujolais was suggested by Eric and we finished off with the selection of cheeses and a wonderful pressed grappa. If atmosphere and service count for anything, be sure to enjoy a meal at the playfully named 'Le Bon, Le Boeuf Et le Truant'."

What a discovery!We who are great lovers of raw fish, we have discovered "the must" Lyon.Fresh, flavor, everything is there.With in addition to the tastes discovered: eel, turbo, refined .plats, accompanied by a beautiful sakés card.
