"Paradise. The frame is simply sublime. Like a feeling of lightness. Then the kitchen. Divine. One without fault every time. Definitely a large table to try at least once. Prices are reasonable, products and menu reasoned, experience is stellar. Special mention to the sommelier an enthusiast who shows himself to the measurement of the kitchen and its chef: perfect, in simplicity."

"Normally i wouldn't review the same place twice barring a major change...However I'd like to say last night La Recreation outperformed. The food has moved up a level and the service was superb. Of particular note was the caille with foie gras. The caille was delicate and the smear of foie just enough."

"What a jewel! in a unique picturesque place at the river in puy leveque, la cale is immediately my 'go to ' favorite! beautiful, quirky decorations, something you look with interest wherever you sit. the service was so friendly, without being stubborn. sat with a friend and we decided to sit outside to enjoy the wonderful river view. we were even offered cover! menu is very reasonable, there is something for all family, burgers that contain a vegan choice) duck, steak and my choice, broken fish and chips. came with a wonderful salad and horse sauce. there was also a selection of mozzarella sticks on the menu, again another option for vegetarians who have so little choice here in france. I can't wait to go back, in which I have already booked for breakfast the next Sunday, where she serves a full English! sounds a wonderful tasty bite for the autumnal nebelmorgen!"

"I am a regular at Le Pukeko in Prayssac, with good reason. It's always reliably good, with a fixed menu. Also David makes the best Cappuccino for at least 30 kilometres around. Equally popular with native French, ex-pat residents like me, and tourists. David and Rosie moved Pukeko here from their previous location 4 Km away in Puy L'Eveque and have retained their old loyal customers and acquired many more. Give it a try!"
