Delightful place in a less delightful town, less than half an hour's drive from Naples but worth the effort! Inventive, well prepared dishes on a classical basis, refined mediterranean with (sometimes) an Asian touch (but no fusion). What melissa o doesn't like about Sud:
I’d prefer to give it 3 1/2 stars but that’s not an option. We had the tasting menu with wine pairings. The courses were good but nothing that really amazed us. The pasta dish with lemon, mussels, and sea urchin was the best dish we had and it was delicious. Tuna tartare and the octopus were both good. The dessert was a lemon cream with cookie crumbs.
