We came here because the criticism we had read was really good! But where is Eveyone??? While we were there, they made a delivery, a takeaway and three pairs were immersed. Not bad for Queanbeyan. I certainly wouldn’t say this is the best, most flavorsome curry I have had, but it hit the spot. The service was good with the waiter providing good recommendations on the number of food required for the six people we had. One of people in our group ordered a garlic and cheese naan but we basically couldn’t tell the difference between it and the regular garlic naans the rest of us preserves.... read more.

Honestly, I like there food. It's not bad maybe dial down the amount of salt put in like, I ordered butter chicken /w rice on menulog and It's just really salty...

Food takes a little while, but i think its cooked fresh and tastes good.

"We arrived and seated ourselves. We waited a few minutes and then picked up menus from another table as we had none. The waiter arrived shortly after to take orders for drinks and food. The drinls arrived over a few minutes. We had got a couple of bottles of water for ourselves and asked for some more but instead of taking the two empties we offered he walked off and returned with another and added this to the already crowded table. About 5 mins later two of the 4 meals artived but no cuttery which the waiter brought after a min or two. The second lot of 2 were served a few mins later by the same waiter but again she had to return with cuttery. Nothing too bad but just a little disorganisation which could easily be addressed. The food was good for the most part however one of our friends asked for crispy bacon which was anything but crispy. There was lettuce on the side of all meals which was left and when the waiter who turned out to be the manager arrived to clear she commented on the fact that she telks the cooks to not add lettuce but they continue to do so....maybe the staff need firmer directions. All in all a pleasant experience and worth a visit. The place is run by a local family who are hard working so support the locals please. The place is in the centre of town and appears to be a home conversion to a restaurant with quirky decor."

"I placed an order for takeaway - I had to hold the line for 5 minutes (which I was completely fine with as I have worked in busy restaurants) after I was taken off hold before ordering she said the eftpos was down so cash only. I told them my order, I asked could I please get the price just so I know how much money to get out before picking my dinner up. Her response "no I'm too busy for this if you want a price you will find out when you get here" i said look I'm sorry I know you're most definitely going to be busy but I really do need a price so I know how much it's going to cost. I haven't got a menu I've got your number off google and you're menu online looks old so I'd like to clarify the price. She hung up the phone. I called back and said if I don't get a price then please cancel off my order as I find this as rude service, I get your busy but you should be giving customers the total price when they call. She didn't end up giving me a price. But I ended up going down and getting my food but very very disappointed with the way I got treated. That was my first and most definitely last time I will be eating from Punjabi hut in Queanbeyan...."
