Omg this place is to die for a must for any Queenstown trip. We had the rib, wing, chips and slaw platter for 2 for $42 and it was 10/10. 30 custom beers on tap so we had a tasting paddle. View all feedback.
What Tanner Emmerich doesn't like about Beech Tree Craft Beer:
I ordered the vegan option of the Beach Tree Vegetarian Burger, but they mistakenly gave me the regular version, which only had fried cheese curds instead of a veggie patty. The vegan option turned out to be just avocado, capsicum, and lettuce for 20 NZD. I ended up changing my order to the plant-based chick'n patty, which the menu claimed was vegan, but it came with aioli and ranch dressing that did not indicate the... View all feedback.
Good surprise with this place as we only stopped in for a beer and was a little surprised by the good options they had! We got the fried pickles crunchy flavourful and had a dill chipotle dip that was great! Mac and cheese was warming and seemed to be a potato/vegetable base with angel parm so filling and felt healthy enough! They had two good sound burgers and a couple of other bits too. Great beer, cozy spot, board games, quiz nights etc. recommend for a chill afternoon or evening
So many options! I tried the cauliflower wings, polenta sticks, and the mac and cheese, which was delicious!
Everyone was very friendly. When we traveled through they had a new vegan chef into desserts. There was a lovely brownie! Cauli bites were good, batter is curry flavored, take that into consideration while picking a sauce. Plant burger was excellent. Also lots of great beers dog friendly with a pup burger and a pup beer as well
We ordered too much but it was gooood and they gave us a takeaway box. Mac and cheese was great, “burger” was great but my favourites were the various sides. Deep fried pickles and cauliflower were great. Lots on tap too. Nice vibes.
We ordered vegan wings and mac n' cheese, both of which were delicious. We visited during a quieter tourist season and appreciated the atmosphere of the bar in the early evening - it was quiet enough to have a conversation but still lively. The vegan menu on their website was not updated, but we were pleasantly surprised to find a variety of vegan mayo and relish options for our wings. They also have a wide selection of beers, with vegan options clearly marked.
