We ate here twice in a week as we are staying local, the restaurant is quite basic but very clean and the service was excellent. The food was really nice and very generous portions. The Guinness is also very good here! View all feedback.
What Marian M doesn't like about Quilty Tavern:
We booked a table here and when we arrived we were left standing for a good while before being told to go to our table. We could see the workers in the bar and they could see us yet no one attended to us despite the sign saying please wait to be seated. The quilty tavern was very nice and service was excellent, eating was good and spatial flawless. would go back there.
It's a beautiful place. The view of the ocean. Desserts were in love.
The place has a warm authentic feel with plenty of local, family, neighborhood, charm. There is plenty of parking across the street and the menu is just what you would expect. The view of the ocean is fantastically moody and charming. The drinks are solid but all measured pours so don't expect any floaters or anything special. The bartender is impressive, works hard, and keeps things moving briskly even when the room is stuffed. The curry is the standout flavor but has no spicy heat and is in the middle, straddling sweet and savory. The chips (fries) are stubby and unsalted but perfectly cooked. The veggie lasagna is bland, mushy and seems to be an assembly of left overs topped with flavorless cheese.
Absolutely excellent food, the fresh fish and chips is very tasty, lovely friendly staff.. very child friendly and my 3 kids highly recomend the hot chocolate also the views are priceless..
Excellent food, efficient staff. Well looked after. Nothing a problem. Kids made feel welcome. Thanks.
