"After lunch. I had the brisket plate with two sides. The meat was tender and juicy, but bland. Very little smoke or other flavors. The service was fast and polite. Place was clean and tidy. I want to give them another try."

"Well decorated, quaint, and comfortable restaurant. The front entry door faces the Mineola train station. We were greeted quickly on arrival. Staff was attentive and friendly. Beer and wine options are good, with craft selections available in a can. Food arrived appropriately after ordering. Starter house salad tasted fresh. I had the salmon and veggies (only sauted yellow squash). My meal was cooked well and tasted good. My wife ordered the buffalo chicken wrap. Her plate looked great but must have sat under a heat lamp while mine was finishing up, because she said it had good flavor but didn 't taste fresh. Overall, we enjoyed the dinner and will go back and try it again. I really liked the atmosphere!"

"After reading reviews, our group took a chance and ate here. This place is great! The table and floors were clean. The wait staff was very attentive without being intrusive. The food was the best. Try the catfish, the hamburger steak or even a simple cheeseburger. The fries were home cut and hot. Okra perfect. Drinks kept filled and not watered down. Three different employees came over and made sure we were satisfied. AND the coleslaw was almost as good as mine! We will be going back."
